Google Shopping Feed Privacy Policy

Google Shopping Feed, "the App”, allows merchants to optimise and automate the product synchronisation with their Merchant Center. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-Powered store.

  1. Information the App Collects or Permissions this App has
    When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account. Below given is the list of Permissions we take about your store and its information and products.
    1. Store Information
      We are collecting basic information from a store like Store Name, Address, Contact Email, Support Email, Phone No, Shopify Plan etc. This information shall be used to send a notification email to the store owner whenever there is a process completion or some error in the product data feed. We use this personally identifiable information of store owner to have effective communication related to different processes on our app. We never send any promotional emails related to cross selling of our services or launching of any other service that is not in the scope of this app. However, we do send emails related to updates launched, bug fixes, updates in documentations and any other change that may affect their utility of this app.
    2. Read Products
      These permissions allow us to read the product information like product Title, Description, Images, Prices, Barcode and SKUs, Variants and their details, etc... However, this permission does not get us access to any Personally Identifiable Information of any individual.
    3. Read/Write Theme
      This permission is taken to re-verify the store in the event of theme change. Whenever any store changes the theme and have used HTML tag method of verification, App re-inserts the HTML tag to keep the store verified and claimed in the Merchant Center. That avoids the downtime of Google Shopping Campaign.
    4. Read Order information
      1. How Do We Use Order Information?
        We collect order information to check the products being ordered. If the product goes out of stock by virtue of an order, there is no notification of stock status change from the Shopify under such circumstances. It is highly important to sync the correct status of product in the Merchant Centre to avoid wasteful expenditure of you Google Shopping Expenses.
      2. Sharing of this Personally Identifiable information.
        We do not even request or process any personally Identifiable information of customers placing order on the Shopify store. So, no question arises of sharing this information with anybody or entity.
      3. Rights of Individual if they are European resident.
        As we are not processing any information of any individual other than Shopify Store owner. Whenever merchant un-installs the app, we remove their product information and the personal information of store from our servers within 14 days. So, if any Store owner wishes to remove their personal information, they will have to remove the app.
  2. Data Retention
    When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your question and Personally Identifiable Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information or you process the deleting the request yourself from the app’s interface.
  3. Changes
    We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
